Group Photo Shoot

We recommend doing a group photo shoot of all who attended the day outside of the venue at the conclusion of the ceremony. This is a great way to get everyone together and capture the moment.

General Guidelines for Group Photos

  1. Speak to the family and the venue ahead of time to get permission and find out what is allowed.
  2. Make an announcement at the beginning of the ceremony that photography and videography will be taking place.
  3. Be respectful and discreet when taking photos and videos.
  4. If you have a large group, you might want to divide them into smaller groups.
  5. Post the photos and videos on a tribute page as soon as possible.

Video and Streaming

Videoing and livestreaming of ceremonies is becoming increasingly more common, as families are becoming more spread out around the globe and the recent pandemic has restricted people's ability to travel. This allows people who cannot attend the ceremony in person to still be a part of the event and can also preserve the memory of the ceremony for future generations.

Some tips for videoing the ceremony

  1. Speak to the service organiser before the service day to find out what is possible and if there is a professional videography service available at the venue.
  2. If you are doing the videography yourself, make sure you have a good camera and microphone.
  3. Position yourself in a way that you can get good shots of the ceremony.
  4. Be respectful of the mourners and avoid taking photos or videos of people who are visibly grieving.
